Chapter 247 Something To Understand 5
"To help you, silly." Cerisdel pointed out with an offended frown. "You have asked for my help and it seems to me that you are quite in need of an individual to help comfort you."
"I don\'t have any need for that—!" Lukas bristled.
"So you say, but the way you spoke was not only out of my sake but for the sake of your own self. I saw the relief in your eyes at being understood, at finally having someone to listen to your words and be known. I… I have known others who are just like you."
Lukas had a feeling that she was only talking about herself, but he didn\'t bother to say that.
Perhaps she saw a reflection of herself in him—as if she was looking at a mirror. Trapped in a cave, and with others around her, but not being completely known all the same.
"Well then, I\'ve read that one of the most vulnerable and intimate of acts is copulation." Cerisedel said with an arch of authority to her tone as she pushed him down, his body hit against the cave floors with a thud. "We shall commence with that and other things. Then you shall feel fulfilled and then that will be the assistance that I give to you—"
"I have a girlfriend. Two, in fact." Lukas interrupted her. "I also have friends, well, Stacy, I don\'t think Theodore really counts as one, nor would Alexei and especially not Serena but I\'m okay. Er, I\'m getting distracted—this isn\'t the help that I\'m looking for."
"But this is the help that you need." Cerisedel said, not missing a beat as she unclasped his hood. "I know better than you."
"This is just assault." Lukas sighed as he pressed a hand on her bare shoulder.
"You\'re not exactly fighting back though." Cerisedel hummed.
"Obviously I\'m against a dragon here. Do you think it\'s really that fair of a game if I were to try and fight you?" Lukas looked at her with a slight glare.
"No." Cerisedel chirped, but then frowned and looked at him. "You\'re making this hard for yourself. Why are you not experiencing any—oh, there it is. It\'s hard and throbbing."
Lukas\' face turned red, but he shook his head.
"That just happens randomly at times and is in no way a sign of interest whatsoever, Cerise! Don\'t you dare even think about it."
"You cannot stop me from thinking about it, nor can you stop me from feeling it either." Cerisedel pressed herself against him, rubbing her breasts against his shirt and her flat stomach against his erection. "This is… this is larger than average, I believe. But I might be wrong. What\'s your take on it?"
"There\'s no need for any take of it." Lukas sighed. "I mean—I guess you must think this is important, but there are people whose lives are currently at stake and I\'d rather that you help me out there than with this."
"Are you sure?" Cerisedel said. "You say you\'re not feeling it, but your body is flushing and showing signs of arousal."
"I just said that other people\'s lives are at stake." Lukas sighed and knocked his head slightly against the floor. "What\'s not to notice about that? You—the Sky Changing Wyvern is still here."
"What?!" Cerisedel yanked herself away from Lukas and gazed up at the entrance of the cave, but found no wyvern present. She could have checked it herself with her ability, but Lukas\' words struck her hard and she panicked well.
"Hah." Lukas resisted the urge to chuckle as he dusted himself off and got to his feet. Here was a dragon, powerful and mighty, but with no ounce of decorum except when it came to her so-called family.
Lukas guessed that was also the particular reason as to why she showed no hint of concern or danger to anyone else. She lived by herself and therefore could not really care about anyone else except for those whom she valued.
The idea finally struck Lukas\' mind and he cleared his throat.
Talks about trying to help him was useless in the face of a dragon that was in no way actually noble or with ideas of helping anyone other than herself.
It should have been obvious the first time.
"Now where were we—"
"We need to save your family." Lukas said.
"What?" Cerisedel\'s gaze narrowed hard as she stared at him. "What. Do. You. Mean?"
"I mean what I mean exactly. There\'s someone out there that needs to be defeated and it can only be done by someone like you."
"Why can\'t you do it?" Cerisedel frowned. "You\'re unlike others as well."
"If I could have done it by myself then I wouldn\'t be here in the first place." Lukas said. "But I thought you\'d be invested in it because this dangerous threat is none other than your next door neighbor. It might and will probably attack Nyx, but there\'s no doubt that its influence will make all its way up Ilstad Mountain and you would be in need of help if it actually grows to such an extent that it reached here."
"You…" Cerisedel grouched, but listened hard and paid attention. She had not seen or heard of any threats from the Dark Forest, but she didn\'t think that Lukas was lying.
Why would this man lie?
She had seen through his deceit about himself and now wasn\'t one of those times where he was lying.
"Well? What do you think?" Lukas crossed his arms. "I\'m not sure how to explain this threat except it permeates everywhere in the Dark Forest and has corrupted it and its inhabitants. Plants and animals… maybe even people."
The thought that this ******** would be out there and harming people like Iolathane and the rest of the Vampires that had joined them was something that didn\'t sit well with him at all.
There was no time for fun and games, Lukas needed to save them with the help of Cerise.
